I
am a single parent of a 12-year old girl and a 19 year-old college
student and am on permanent disability with Multiple Sclerosis. I
am able to drive, and my daughter is active in sports, etc. I
receive no child support from the father. I have had a couple of
used cars in the last couple years, one of which had to be junked after
over $1,500 in repairs because it needed a new engine. The car I
purchased for $750.00 a couple months ago is also not working, after
having put over $800 in repairs into it. I have no money at all
to begin to get the car going again. I thought maybe there was a
good samaritan out there who had a reliable older car they wouldn't
mind donating so that I can get my daughter to her sporting events, to
my doctors, the grocery store, etc.
I
am a 50 year-old disabled mother of two; a daughter of 12 and a 19-year
old son in college. I do not and never have received child
support from my ex-husband. I have no living relatives that I am
aware of, but me and my kids are living in our family home of 14 years
- it is a struggle to keep up the payments and bills associated with
homeownership, but we forgo the little "extras" so that we can stay
here. The kids have so little, and with them never seeing their
dad I do not want their home taken away from them.
